The United Die Company produces tungsten carbide shaving die inserts and holders. When the inserts are used in combination with UDICO holders, the result is superior tooling longevity. United Die has developed a family of shaving die inserts which can process a wide size range (0.223 to 1.750 inch diameter) with rake or face angles from 3° to 35° (deg). United Die holders have a proprietary lining which enables them to be in service for extended periods.
Applications:
Shaving dies are typically used to remove surface defects that are introduced in the drawing process. The shaving process can be used on a variety of steel alloys (including stainless steels), copper alloys, and other materials.

Description:
Udico shaving die holders are designed to hold our shaving die inserts. These components, Holder + Insert, create the Udico shaving die system.
Applications:
United Die's simple design incorporates a tapered insert and corresponding holder. Send us one of your current shaving dies and we'll modify it to accept our inserts. When the insert has been fully utilized, you simply replace it with another. Our holders have a proprietary lining which enables them to be in service for extended periods, saving you money.
